Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) is a high-efficiency compound fertilizer containing both nitrate nitrogen and available calcium. Designed for rapid nitrogen supplementation, it is readily absorbed by plants and provides immediate nutritional support.
As a neutral fertilizer, it improves acidic soils without causing compaction. Instead, it helps loosen soil, stimulate beneficial microbes, and enhance plant disease resistance. Widely used for cash crops, flowers, fruits, and vegetables, CAN improves root and shoot development, prolongs flowering, brightens leaf color, and increases fruit sugar content.
Rapid Nitrogen Absorption
15.5% nitrate nitrogen is directly available to plants for fast and stable uptake.
Soil Health Enhancement
Loosens compacted soils, activates soil microorganisms, and improves nutrient retention.
Improves Plant Quality
Supports strong roots, healthy stems, vibrant foliage, and sweeter fruit.
Neutral Reaction
Unlike ammonium-based fertilizers, CAN does not acidify soil or cause salt accumulation.
No Nitrogen Loss
All nitrogen is in nitrate form—there is no volatilization loss as ammonia gas.
With Optional Boron Coating (if applied)
Promotes flower and fruit protection, calcium transport, and magnesium uptake.
Non-Caking, Non-Deliquescent
Compatible with other fertilizers, stable during storage and handling.
CAN is ideal for a wide range of crops including:
Cash Crops: Cotton, tobacco, sugar beet
Vegetables: Tomato, lettuce, cabbage, cucumber
Fruits: Apple, citrus, grape, banana
Flowers & Ornamentals: Rose, lily, chrysanthemum
Field Crops: Corn, wheat, soybean
Particularly recommended for soils low in calcium or under intensive cultivation.
Basal Application: Apply before sowing or transplanting and incorporate into the soil.
Topdressing: Apply during the crop’s active growth stage as an additional fertilizer.
For best results, follow crop-specific fertilization practices and local agronomic recommendations.
